Sarah-isms

14 months ago my parent's got an unexpected blessing. Sarah Jo came to live with us. She was four at the time and the craziest little girl you can imagine. She captured all our hearts and became an unreplacable part of our family. I can't remember or imagine what life was like without her. In May she offically became Sarah Rose and now will forever be part of our family. This is wonderfully comforting to me.

So I thought I would post a few of what our family calls "Sarah-isms" (She says the FUNNIEST things). If anyone has any to add please comment me with them and I'll add them. Here are a few of my favorites though.

This was a conversation between her and Nera (our sister from Albania)
Nera: "So Sarah are you in the 1st Grade?"Sarah (my 5 yr old sister): "Noooooo! I'm not a grader, I'm a gartner, a KINDER-GARTNER"

She walked into the living room one day and stuck her stomach out, patted it and said. "whew! I'm getting fudgy"

One day dad was going over his sermon fot the next Sunday with mom. Sarah walked in right as mom was telling dad how the Holy Spirit always annoints him. Sarah turned to my parents and said "God doesn't annoy you He always listens, except when you're cussing!" (Out of the mouths of babes...)

She was sitting in a chair in the living room looking at her arms when I walked in, she looked up at me and said, "I have a really brown conflection."

She is really tan (unlike the rest of our family) and she likes to tell people she is brown, not white. One day dad introduced her to Nobert, an employee of ours from Sri Lanka who is very dark skinned. Dad said. "Sarah this is Nobert, he is brown." She looked up and him and said, "you are as brown as the freckle on my bottom!" Oh my!

She also has a freckle on the bottom of her foot in the exact same location dad has one. Sarah like to tell people she has her daddy's freckle and his nose.

Sarah is a NUT! And a blessing to the WHOLE family! I love her more than life and I thank God everyday that she is one of us!

*EDIT* Mom wanted me to add something she said the other day. Nikki is running for Miss Polk County this year. Sarah came in all excited and informed mom that "Nikki is running for Lady Liberty!"
